Chiropractic Care

Advanced chiropractic can help many suffering with spinal issues. A chiropractor is a doctor who relieves back pain. Chiropractors use their hands or small instruments to perform an adjustment. Adjustments provide sudden force to a spinal joint. The goal is to improve spinal motion. Adjustments also help to improve the body’s function. People get adjustments to relieve low back pain, neck pain and headaches. There are different kinds of adjustments. Some use traditional methods. Others use advanced chiropractic methods.

Traditional Chiropractic
Advanced Chiropractic

A traditional chiropractic adjustment involves pressure from the chiropractor’s hands. They apply pressure to the affected areas. Chiropractors have five different manual techniques. These include Gonstead, Thompson, Diversified and Palmar Package. For traditional chiropractic, you are often positioned lying face down. During the adjustment the chiropractor will apply pressure to a joint using sudden force. They push the joint beyond its usual range of motion. You may hear popping and cracking sounds as your chiropractor moves the joints.

Advanced Chiropractic

Within recent years computerized instruments have provided a new method of spinal adjustment. The theory is still the same. The goal is to restore mobility and range of motion to the affected joints. Advanced chiropractic uses an adjusting tool that can be much more precise. It offers evaluations of individual joints before and after each treatment. Unlike manual adjustments the treatment can be performed with the patient sitting or standing up. Advanced chiropractic care also adjusts the patient without any popping, cracking, turning or twisting.

Pulstar ProAdjuster
Advanced Chiropractic

The Pulstar Proadjuster is a computerized tool. It is an advance chiropractic technique. The ProAdjuster incorporates a computer program that interprets data into a hand held tool. This allows it to analyze joint motion. The chiropractor will scan each vertebrae before and after each adjustment. This will help to see how much movement was put back into the joint. The ProAdjuster then performs the adjustment.  It taps into each vertebrae about ninety times per second. During the adjustment there is a screen the patient can watch. This allows the patient to see exactly where the joints are too stiff.

Which treatment is right for you?

There are particular benefits to each technique. Different patients also have different preferences. Some people like to be popped and cracked. Others may be fearful of traditional chiropractic care. When recommending a course of care, your chiropractor will take into account the patients history. They will review your initial assessment and take x-rays. The doctor will then recommend a technique that best suits the patient’s particular needs.https://proadjusterchiropractorvirginiabeach.com//chiropractic-services/
